Dr: Steven Custer

Dr. Stephen Custer grew up in Newton, MA, starting on piano & adding cello at age 9.  He was Principal Cellist & Soloist with the Greater Boston Youth Symphony and soloist with the Boston Pops during high school years. Juilliard School & a Ohio University Graduate Assistantship followed.
As a professional cellist, Stephen played in the Air Force Strolling Strings, before joining Zubin Mehta & the Los Angeles Philharmonic in 1974.
He has played numerous recitals & soloed with the Juilliard Theatre Orchestra, Ohio University Orchestra, Moorpark Symphony, Valley Symphony & Conejo Symphony.
Now he is playing with the Ventura Quintet & other Ventura chamber music groups.
